Where do VoltCast electricity prices come from?
VoltCast price pages name the source and show a retrieval time when it is supplied. Published day-ahead prices, real-time prices and estimates must be read differently. A retrieval timestamp is not a promise that every future price has been published.
European day-ahead markets
Sources used across the supported European zones include ENTSO-E, Energy-Charts / Fraunhofer ISE, SMARD and OMIE. The source attribution on the individual price page identifies the data used for that zone. The next day’s values appear after publication; delays can occur.
Great Britain and US hubs
Great Britain uses day-ahead market data available through NESO. US pages show NYISO, CAISO or ERCOT wholesale hub prices. A hub price is not a household retail tariff and may not match your electricity plan.
Australia
Australia’s NEM is a real-time market operated by AEMO. Tomorrow’s figures are estimates; they are not final day-ahead household electricity prices.
Units, time zones and freshness
Read the unit, local time zone, price date and retrieval time on each price page. Taxes, network fees and retailer margins are excluded unless the page explicitly says otherwise. If the date is old or data is unavailable, do not treat it as today’s confirmed price.
Published prices versus outlooks
Published values are labelled separately from estimates for later periods. An estimate can change. These pages explain the meaning and origin of the displayed information, not a guaranteed saving or a forecast accuracy claim.

Questions
Does a spot price include my full electricity bill?
Usually not. Wholesale prices exclude retailer margin, network or delivery charges and taxes unless the page explicitly states otherwise.
Why might tomorrow’s prices be missing?
Publication times and coverage vary. A delay or missing response does not mean electricity is free or that prices will stay unchanged.
