VoltCast

What is VoltCast?

VoltCast is an iPhone electricity-price app for people who want to plan flexible electricity use. It shows published spot prices and, where available, a separately labelled price outlook. It does not switch your electricity supplier or control your charger.

Who is it useful for?

A dynamic or spot-price electricity contract can make the timing of EV charging, water heating and other flexible use matter. With a fixed-price contract, changes in the wholesale price do not necessarily change the price you pay.

What does it cost?

VoltCast is free to download. Pro features require a monthly or yearly in-app subscription. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you confirm a purchase. A free download does not mean a free subscription.

Which places are covered?

The app covers European price zones, Great Britain, selected US wholesale hubs, Australian NEM regions and other markets listed on the product page. The website and the app do not have identical coverage. Choose a published web price zone to inspect the available detail before downloading.

Is VoltCast an electricity supplier?

No. VoltCast is a separate price-information app. It does not sell electricity, change your tariff or schedule your devices automatically. Wholesale prices normally exclude taxes, network charges and your retailer’s margin.

Questions

Does VoltCast automatically charge my car?

No. You choose when to charge and use your car or charger’s own scheduling controls.

Are future prices guaranteed?

Published day-ahead prices and estimates are different. Estimates can change and are not a guarantee of your final electricity bill.
