Will electricity be cheaper tomorrow?VoltCast: Power Price Outlook for iPhone
VoltCast is an iPhone app for anyone on a dynamic or spot-price electricity contract. It shows today's and tomorrow's hourly spot prices, points out the cheapest hours to charge an EV, run a heat pump or top up a home battery, and gives you an outlook for the rest of the week – so you can plan your electricity use before the day starts.

Today's and tomorrow's prices at a glance
Open the app and you see the spot price right now, today's average and whether tomorrow looks cheaper or pricier than today. As soon as the next day's prices are published, VoltCast switches to the confirmed hourly prices, so you are not refreshing a website every afternoon to find out what tomorrow will cost.
The cheapest hours to charge, heat and store
Spot prices move hour by hour, and the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive hours of a day can be large. VoltCast highlights the cheapest charging window for your EV, and the same hours work for anything flexible: running a heat pump or water heater harder when power is cheap, charging a home battery, or starting the dishwasher and washing machine later in the evening.
An outlook for the rest of the week
Not every decision is about tomorrow. VoltCast shows daily averages for the coming days and marks the cheapest day of the week, so you can see whether it is worth waiting a day or two before a big charge. Days that are not yet published are labelled as estimates and can change; published prices are always shown as published.
Price alerts
Turn on alerts and VoltCast can notify you on your iPhone when cheap hours are coming up, so you do not have to remember to check.

When are tomorrow's electricity prices published?

In Great Britain they follow around 11:30 UK time, and for the US hubs late morning or early afternoon local time. VoltCast shows them as soon as they are available. Australia's NEM is a real-time market, so tomorrow's figures there are estimates that update through the day.
