VoltCast shows published Finnish spot electricity prices, an open-model price forecast and the tariffs of public charging stations. The app works without an account.

Location

Your location is used only when you ask for it yourself to search for charging stations. The location is sent to our price server for the search and is not stored. You can also choose a city manually without location permission.

Calendar and sharing

A charging window can be exported to your calendar or shared using your device’s own features. The file is created on your device and is not sent to us.

Data sources

Published electricity prices: ENTSO-E Transparency Platform. Forecast and price drivers: Nordpool Predict FI / Sähkövatkain (open model). Charging stations: Fintraffic Digitraffic (AFIR). Forecasts are model estimates, not guaranteed prices.

No advertising or tracking

The app has no sign-in, no third-party advertising, no analytics and no tracking technologies. Settings and favourites are stored only on your device, and you can delete them in the app’s settings.

Our website (voltcast-outlook.vercel.app) uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It uses no cookies and stores no personal identifiers; the data is aggregated. The app itself contains no analytics.

Server and logs

The price server is located in the EU (Germany). Requests from the web version are relayed by Vercel; hosting services may process IP addresses in technical logs for a short time. Our own price service does not log user-specific searches or locations.
